How to use this Forum
Using the RECAP Forum
The site can be read by all visitors and registered users, however to add your comments or vote in a poll you must register once as a new user and then login on future visits to add your comments. Links to logging in as a new or existing user are in the left hand column under “Links”
How to Register
Click on “Register (New user)” and enter a new username (this is who you will be known as on the forum). You will also be asked for your email address so that we can email you a password. You will receive a password by email then return to the forum and click on “login (Existing user)” and enter your username and the password provided. You will then be logged on and able to contribute to the forum.
Login
Once you have registered as above, simply return to the forum at any time, click on the “Login” (Existing user), enter your user name and password and comment on any post on the forum.
Adding your comments to the forum
To add your comments once logged in, click on the titles in “Recent Posts” (a post is simply another name for an article posted to the site for you to comment on) or on the title of the post itself on the home page. This will take you to the post and at the bottom you will see any comments made by other people and a box to enter your comments. Simply add your comments and click “Submit Comments” to add them to the forum.
Polls
To vote on a poll you must login in. If you are not logged in you will see the results of the poll only, once you are logged in you will see the options and be able to cast your vote. Click “View Results” at the bottom of the poll to see how the votes are going. To return to voting section, click “Vote”
Archives
Posts more than a month old will be listed under archives, you can still click on these and comment in the same way
Categories
This heading will take you to posts under different catagories, all REACP newsletters still open for comment are listed under “RECAP Newsletters” and other articles will be listed under “Articles”
Changing your password
The password you are issued with by email can be changed at any time by clicking on “Update my profile”. You can change your password as many times as you like and update any other personal details you wish to.
Logout
When you want to leave the site, you can click “Log out”, you will still be able to read the whole site including comments however you will not be able to comment until you login again.
